Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan Visits Chicago Braves Deep Dish Pizza

As if a father-son road trip wasn't adventurous enough. Imagine travelling with two pugs, a pomeranian and a pit bull in an RV.

"Dog whisperer" Cesar Millan and his 22-year-old son Andre are touring the country while filming their new Nat Geo Wild series "Cesar Millan's Dog Nation." The duo arrived in Chicago last week and plan to leave the city Wednesday after stops at Calumet Park for the Southeast Chicago Dog Fest; Michigan Avenue for window shopping; and Giordano's for a slice of deep dish pizza, despite the elder Millan's lack of cheese tolerance.

Along the way, the longtime dog behaviorist and his son shared tips with the Southeast Chicago Dog Park Committee about building a successful dog park and 20somethings about adopting their first dog.

"I want Andre to come in and teach the youth about prevention, what it means to be a responsible dog owner," Cesar Millan said during his visit to Tribune Tower last week.

A South Florida Man is Fighting to Keep His Pizza Loving Pet Alligator

Coconut Grove, Florida  - A South Florida man is fighting to keep his male pet alligator, "Gwendolyn," that he has had for the past 47 years.

David Van Buren says he has kept the gator as a pet, and even took his pet to college.

"Once he was in the house, he didn't want to leave. I think it took us like three weeks to get him to go back outside. He was on the couch all the time, or in the bathtub," said Van Buren.

Now that he's gotten too large to roam around his backyard in Coconut Grove, Florida Fish & Wildlife officials are stepping in to take the 13-foot-long reptile.  Authorities received a complaint about the alligator and began to investigate.

"Unfortunately, Gwendolyn the alligator is not in the proper caging it is supposed to be," FWC's Lorenzo Veloz offered.

Van Buren feeds the alligator pizza and chocolate chip cookies  -- Chips Ahoy are apparently his favorite -- and says he'll do whatever he can to keep him.

There's no word yet on how long FWC will take to come to a decision, or where they would take Gwendolyn if they removed him from the home.

Animal Cruelty Behind Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Domino’s Revealed

Animal cruelty has been discovered behind the scenes at popular pizza cheese suppliers. This might change your mind if you had plans to order a pie from Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, or Domino’s.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Idaho was among several states whose Ag Gag law was declared unconstitutional. What this means is that they made it a criminal offense to film what happens in the process of meat or milk production. It was created as a way to protect the public from the sometimes barbaric way the animals are treated, and now it seems the first results have appeared from its removal.

Mozzarella giant Leprino Foods in New Mexico supplies cheese to three of the biggest fast food pizza chains in the United States. An undercover activist uncovered a shocking (literally) secret behind the processing of the milk used for their cheese.

Apparently the cows’ genitals were being shocked into aggressive milk production. Other actions used on the dairy farm in question are punching and kicking of the livestock, as well as whipping and stabbing them with screwdrivers, as revealed in the disturbing video below.
