Ice Cream Shaped Puppies, Would You Eat Them?

Every day happy customers take pictures and tear into them, limb by limb, feeling sorry and happy at the same time. The shar-pei puppies look almost too real to eat but are made chocolate, milk tea or peanut-flavored ice cream.

J-C Company Art Kitchen in southern Taiwan has been serving these treats since last month, making them in special molds with a special recipe that creates a hairy-looking frost on top of the ice cream.

The ice cream is frozen at more than 20 degrees below zero, so it will keep shape long enough for staff to color the puppies' eyes with chocolate sauce before the wrinkled features of the dog start melting.

One puppy ice cream takes about five hours to make and customers can devour the small ones for $3.50, and the larger ones for about six dollars. Thanks to social media, the restaurant is struggling to keep up with demand as they can only make 100 per day.

Florida Dairy Workers Seen Beating And Kicking Cows In Undercover Video

A Florida dairy farm is under criminal investigation after an undercover video from an animal rights group revealed workers kicking cows in the head and beating them with metal rods.

The video was shot by a member of Animal Recovery Mission who went undercover in August as a farm worker at Larson Dairy in Okeechobee County. The footage shows men brutally abusing cows as the bovines cower and duck their heads. In some cases, the cows are unable to get away because they are confined by bars meant to restrain them for the milking process.

Larson Dairy was a supplier of Publix Super Markets, which has announced it suspended deliveries from the farm in the wake of the video, the Associated Press reports. Okeechobee County Sheriff Noel Stephen announced Thursday that he had launched a criminal investigation into the farm.

Can a Cat Get Pregnant While Still Nursing Kittens?

Q: Can a cat get pregnant while still nursing kittens?

A: Yes. Lactation (production of milk) does not suppress the heat cycle, and cats that are actively nursing kittens can go into heat as soon as two weeks after giving birth.

Some aspects of a cat’s reproductive capabilities are truly remarkable. Did you know that even being pregnant doesn’t necessarily suppress the heat cycle in cats! In fact, 10 percent of female cats go into heat between the third and sixth week of pregnancy.

Although these cycles are rarely fertile, it actually is possible for a cat to be carrying fetuses of different ages, resulting from separate matings in different heat cycles! The scientific term for this is "superfetation."

Also, a female cat in heat can mate with several males, and it is possible for kittens in a litter to have different fathers. The technical term for this is "superfecundation." Cats long have been recognized for their fertility. Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of fertility, is depicted as a cat in artwork, and the ancient Egyptians worshipped cats as a symbol of fertility.

When it comes to making babies, cats are one of the most prolific domestic pets out there.

Udderly Unbelievable: Ill. Cow Named World's Tallest

Blosom, a 6-foot-4-inch Holstein, has been named the world's tallest cow by Guinness World Records.

"She's huge," Lynne Acebey, a veterinarian at the Orangeville (Ill.) Animal Health Service told USA Today Network. Acebey took Blosom's official measurements for the record. Blosom is about a foot taller than the average female Holstein, according to Acebey.

"She loves her oats and she loves to hang out on the pasture," Acebey said, calling the cow a "big, gentle giant."

Blosom's owner, Patty Hanson, got the animal as a calf and has kept her as a pet. The cow is now 13-years-old and weighs 2,000 pounds.

"I told my dad years ago that Blosom was destined for stardom, and with this record she has achieved that," Hanson told the Associated Press.

Guinness World Records sent Hanson an official confirmation of Blosom's record in August and the company sent photographers this week to take the animal's photo. The milestone will be included in the 2016 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Milk it for all it's worth, Blosom.

Animal Cruelty Behind Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, Domino’s Revealed

Animal cruelty has been discovered behind the scenes at popular pizza cheese suppliers. This might change your mind if you had plans to order a pie from Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, or Domino’s.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Idaho was among several states whose Ag Gag law was declared unconstitutional. What this means is that they made it a criminal offense to film what happens in the process of meat or milk production. It was created as a way to protect the public from the sometimes barbaric way the animals are treated, and now it seems the first results have appeared from its removal.

Mozzarella giant Leprino Foods in New Mexico supplies cheese to three of the biggest fast food pizza chains in the United States. An undercover activist uncovered a shocking (literally) secret behind the processing of the milk used for their cheese.

Apparently the cows’ genitals were being shocked into aggressive milk production. Other actions used on the dairy farm in question are punching and kicking of the livestock, as well as whipping and stabbing them with screwdrivers, as revealed in the disturbing video below.
