TTeagan sat in his pen yesterday, warmed by space heaters and the smiles of strangers looking in.
The Saint Bernard-mastiff mix was one of about 75 remaining dogs and cats urgently needing homes after a gas leak shut off the central heat Thursday at the CHA Animal Shelter at 3765 Corporate Dr. Volunteers were up monitoring the heaters through the night as temperatures outside dove into single digits.

Jazzy, A 19-Year-Old APHA Mare - Available for Adoption in Junction City, Oregon
This is what the ad says:
Jazzy needs gone! She is FREE. Jazzy is an almost 19 year old APHA mare. Jazzy will stall, pasture, trailer, cross tie, bathe, stand for the farrier and all around a very nice mare. She has injury navicular but is broodmare sound. Jazzy is an excellent mother, easy breeder, great milk producer and is a dream when dealing with the baby. She has been used as a trail horse for a young girl and could probably still be used that way with use of bute and shoes. I do have her ex rays from her initial visit to the vet when her navicular was discovered. I will deliver for the cost of my fuel. Jazzy is located in Junction City. She needs to be where she can be out and enjoy life. The foal is NOT FOR SALE. This was her last baby she is now almost a year old.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ABOUT BEING AWARE OF KILL/MEAT BUYERS! I understand that I am taking a chance with trying to find my mare a home and by posting her for free. I take the same chance if I were to take her to auction. Which was just on the 8th and she is still here on Craigslist looking for a home. So if I didn't give a crap where she went she would have been gone long ago. So stop with the emails of concern unless you are truly interested in her. Thank you!

UPDATE: Coolridge Animal Hospital: Iverson, The Sweet Foster Kitten - Turns Out (He)…Is Mama Iris With Two Adorable Kittens - Mama and Babies Will Be Available for Adoption Soon
I have received an update from Coolridge Animal Hospital:
Update Iverson the rescued 6 month old kitten, turns out is Iris the 6 month old mama. We were able to rescue her 2 kittens which look to be about 6 weeks of age, we are grateful they are safe now, as they wouldn't have made it or had a very happy life out on the streets trying to survive.
These lucky ones are just one story, there are so many Iris's and babies out there on the streets, this is why we strongly believe in spay/neuter of all pets. We can all make a difference.
So with further adieu, here is mama Iris ( 6 months) and her 2 babies, they are identical and laying on each other, which is the reason you only see one.
They will all soon be up for adoption, so if at anytime you are interested just contact us here at Coolridge. We will post more pictures in the upcoming weeks
If you have room in your home and in your heart for Mom Iris or her kittens, please contact:

Stray Senior Dog In Danger At Sanitation Plant Gets Heartwarming Rescue
A senior dog smelt like a sewer and looked even worse when Hope for Paws came to rescue him at a water treatment facility in Los Angeles.
A sanitation plant is an extremely dangerous place for an animal or a human, and the rescue was especially called in to help the dog and given special clearance to do so. When you first see him, he is so dejected and defeated. That’s why it’s so amazing to see a smile come back to his face just from getting a bath and some TLC!
Things are looking up for Mufasa (now renamed Goji). He’s about 8 years old and is currently in foster care with Lionel’s Legacy, a senior dog rescue.

Some animals are known for embodying certain personality traits: Dogs are loyal, lions are brave and foxes are sly. Otters so thoroughly embody love that it’s a wonder they haven’t become the mascot of Valentine's Day sooner.
Consider the following otter facts: Many otters mate for life and sometimes they hold hands while sleeping in the water to avoid drifting apart.
