Montgomery County, Maryland  - The Montgomery County Police Department's Animal Services Division is searching for the person who left a puppy to die in a Burtonsville, Maryland, parking lot.

Someone reported seeing the puppy alone in a parking lot in the 4200 block of Tazewell Terrace on Jan. 3. Investigators say the pit bull puppy, now named "Clark Kent," was found "moments from death in a dirty crate."

The puppy was underweight and experiencing seizures when he was found. Officials believe he is just over a month and a half old.

The person who abandoned the puppy could face charges of criminal neglect and animal abandonment. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the case could be considered a misdemeanor or felony.

Clark is now with a foster family and will be made available for adoption once the case is closed and he's given medical clearance.

Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call the tip line at 240-773-TIPS (8477).

Report That Grumpy Cat Earned $100 Million Is 'Completely Inaccurate'

Picture of Crumpy Cat
A news report that the Internet sensation known as Grumpy Cat has earned $100 million is "completely inaccurate," the cat's owner, Tabatha Bundesen, told The Huffington Post.

The British tabloid The Daily Express reported on Sunday that Grumpy Cat had earned 64 million British pounds, or roughly $100 million, for Bundesen.

Bundesen declined to comment on her cat's specific earnings. She said she is considering how and when to give a full interview to set the record straight. She said her TV deal with Lifetime likely meant she would provide additional details to that channel.

Grumpy Cat's agent, Ben Lashes, who calls himself a "meme manager," did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Huffington Post.

The Daily Express did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, became an Internet meme for being a very grumpy looking cat. Her YouTube page now has more than 16 million views, and she has an endorsement deal with Friskies cat food. She also has "authored" two books, the first of which became a New York Times bestseller, and has a movie -– "Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever" -– currently airing on Lifetime.

The Ragdoll Cat

Picture of cat
The Ragdoll Cat loves to be cuddled and is much more accepting than many cats of being carried around in his owner’s arms.

His floppy, relaxed good nature gives the Ragdoll his name. He is a big, gentle cat with striking blue eyes who can get along with everyone, including other animals, traits that make him adaptable to almost any home. His semi-longhaired coat, which comes in a variety of patterns and colors, is easy to groom.
