Dog-Loving UPS Drivers Created a Wonderful Facebook Page Full of the Pups They Meet at Work

Meet Sean McCarren: UPS driver, dog lover, and your average American hero.

Per Buzzfeed, he's spent the last 17 years working for UPS, bringing joy to not only humans, but their pets too. So to document his pup encounters, McCarren created a Facebook page for the community of UPS drivers who also just so happen to be dog lovers. He dubbed it UPS Dogs and wait until you see the pics..

"I started the page five years ago. I love dogs [and] we have about 30 drivers that post on a regular basis," McCarren told Mashable. "But what the page tries to portray is positive connection with the people and families day to day."

The U.S. Postal Service Will Deliver Smiles to Cat Lovers: Cats Featured on Forever Postage Stamps

The U.S. Postal Service will deliver smiles to cat lovers later this year thanks to new First-Class Forever stamps that pay tribute to our friends with fur, fins and feathers.

Among a group of 20 stamps of popular pets who looked into the lens of Eric Isselée are two photos that celebrates the beauty of our pals who purr.

Cats have acted as muses (or should that be mewses?) for postal art since 1887, when Germany issued a stamp which featured a feline sporting a fish in his mouth. Possibly the first cat to appear with a pet parent on a stamp, in 1930 the silhouette of a small black kitten named Patsy starred on a stamp from Italy which honored Charles Lindbergh’s historic flight in the Spirit of St. Louis. U.S. cat lovers had to wait until 1972 for a feline to show up on a stamp, according to the book Planet Cat: A Cat-Alog.

Along with the cat and kitten stamps, the upcoming booklet of First-Class Forever postage also includes such popular companion animals as puppies and dogs, parrots and parakeets, rabbits, horses, fish, mice, gerbils guinea pigs and hamsters, geckos, hermit grabs, corn snakes, iguanas and tortoises.

Pets will be issued as Forever stamps, which are always equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price.

A Denver Family Was Asked to Move Their Mailbox After Mail Carriers Complained of Snakes on the Property

Denver, Colorado – A family was asked to move their mailbox this week, after mail carriers complained of snakes on the property.

Laurie Simmons got a letter in the mail Friday explaining that she had to either move the mailbox from the porch to the curb or she would have to get a post office box to receive mail.

Simmons and her family rent the home in Denver's University Hills neighborhood. She said the two snakes that live in her flower bed are garter snakes, which are harmless.

However, the United States Postal Service says it takes safety of all mail carriers seriously and if a carrier feels a property is unsafe, they can choose not to deliver mail there.

The home is a rental. Simmons says her landlord will not build a new mailbox but has offered to remove the snakes. Simmons doesn't want the snakes removed, because she feels they are an important part of the ecosystem.
