Missing 3-Year-Old Found Safe With Family Dog After Spending 24 Hours In The Woods

Dogs are not only man’s best friend but loyal guardians of children. A cocker spaniel named Peanut never left the side of 3-year-old Abigail Ladwig who wandered off into the dense woods by their home.

The toddler was reported missing on August 9 after last being seen at 6:45pm following Peanut around the yard of her home in Winter, Wisconsin.

Her father stepped inside for a few minutes and when he came back Abigail and Peanut were gone.

Service Dog Patiently Guides Blind Dog Down Steep Stairs

This Cocker Spaniel, named Kimchi, is the only blind dog in the Philippines with his own guide dog!

Kimchi, now estimated to be between 10 and 12 years old, was found abandoned in the streets by CARA Welfare Philippines. He was thin, mangy, weak, with flea-infested matted fur, and already blind. He was later adopted by a family with a Golden Retriever mix called Ginger, who is now almost 13 years old. Since then, a very special bond has developed between the two.

In the clip, captured on August 26 in Quezon City, Ginger can be seen patiently leading Kimchi as they go down the steep stairs, and out of a hotel.

He walked one step once then he stopped to wait for Kimchi. He was so caring and wise dog.

The two dogs are so attached to each other. They walk along the beach, across the street, go to shopping malls...

Woman Apparently Captures Video of Her Dog’s Ghost

Two weeks ago, Kimberley Pearce of North Carolina had to have her 12-year-old cocker spaniel, Sadie, put to sleep.  While getting some video of her new dog, a strange figure appears to walk across the screen.  Is it a camera glitch, a hoax, or do you think it’s really Sadie’s spirit?

This is Pearce’s account of the scenario:

It was only a few days after when I was showing the video to a friend that I saw her appear. I just knew it was her. That was my dog.

I was in shock – I went outside and started to cry. But then I started to smile. I had been begging for her to give me a sign.

You can see it’s a white and caramel color, and so was my little girl.

The video had been taken around lunchtime and no cars go past my house to make a reflection, and no birds for a shadow or anything. We live quite far out in the country.

There was nothing else it could have been. Before I kind of did and didn’t believe in ghosts. Now I really do believe.

It might sound strange, but a couple of days after Sadie died I finally went and sat out on the porch and had a half hour conversation with her.

I felt so guilty because I was the one who made that decision to have her put down. I signed the papers. I was shaking even just writing my name on them. And I just wanted to tell her, ‘Sadie, I’m so, so sorry and please forgive me for what I’ve done.’

In that conversation I just begged and begged for her or God to send me a sign so that I knew she was okay.

George Clooney and wife Amal, Adopt an Adorable Basset Hound from an Animal Shelter

George and Amal Clooney have a new addition to their family - a cute basset hound mix named Millie.

The happy couple adopted the four-year-old rescue pup from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society shelter on Wednesday.

Millie was found homeless and begging for scraps outside a restaurant earlier this month, and was taken in by the shelter.

According to the website, George, 54, and Amal, 37, 'were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder'.

They also have a Cocker Spaniel, named, Louie, another rescue. They made sure that the two pooches got along before making the adoption official.

They did a "meet and greet" with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue.

It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together!'

George has made no secret of his love of animals over the years, and is also a pet parent to a cocker spaniel mix named Einstein.

The senior dog, who the actor says has 'a beautiful life', features in the newly released book My Old Dog: Rescued Pets with Remarkable Second Acts.

George adopted Einstein in 2010, and had been nervous that the pooch wouldn't take to him during their first meeting.

“I start to panic that Einstein is not going to like me,” he previously admitted to Esquire. “So I ran into the kitchen, grabbed some turkey meatballs, and I rub them all over my shoes,” He said.
George has also admitted he had a pet pig named Max who died at the age of 18 in 2006.

New addition to the family: George and Amal Clooney adopted rescue pup Millie, a basset hound mix, from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society shelter on Wednesday. They are also seen here with their rescue dog Louie

The Least Expensive Purebred Dogs To Own

Pets can be A delightful addition to your household, but they aren't cheap, and dogs can be especially tough on families looking to save.

If you're looking to bring A canine into your life, there's a lot to consider from a financial perspective. There's the cost to buy the dog, of course. But then it's important to factor in the cost of ownership during the dog's lifetime. There's food, visits to the veterinarian, grooming sessions, and insurance, as well as dog walking, daycare, and other services you may need. This can add up to more than $1,000 annually, and can truly skyrocket if your dog has serious health problems.
