Washington, DC –  Why spend Black Friday in long, boring lines at retail stores when you can visit the Washington Animal Rescue League, have your pet’s photo taken with Santa Claus, and visit the dogs and cats that need forever homes!   It’s Black Friday for the animals too!

Come see some wonderful animals available for adoption at special “Black Friday” reduced rates at the Washington Animal Rescue League.  On Friday, November 28th only, all dogs will be available for $100; all cats will be available for $25.   (This promotion applies to anyone that submits an application on Friday, 11/28).  Santa Claus will also be on site at WARL from noon – 3 p.m. to take pictures with you and your pet!

“What a great day we have planned for Black Friday at the Washington Animal Rescue League!  Visit our wonderful dogs, cats, puppies and kittens or bring your pet along for a photo with Santa Claus, just in time for the holidays,” said Bob Ramin, Chief Executive Officer at the Washington Animal Rescue League.  “For one day only – the dreaded Black Friday – we will be offering pets to approved families at a reduced rate.  We are looking for qualified families that can provide a loving home for dogs and cats with nowhere else to go. There is no greater addition to a family than a pet who desperately needs a home, especially during the holidays.”

Animals adopted from the Washington Animal Rescue League have been spayed/neutered and micro chipped and have received a medical assessment.  The Washington Animal Rescue League rescues dogs and cats from puppy mills, hoarding situations, natural disasters and overburdened shelters from around the country.  WARL also takes in animals from partner shelters in the mid-Atlantic region.
