Chadwell Animal Hospital, Abingdon, Maryland: We Need Fish For Young Bald Eagles

Abington, Maryland -- A Maryland Animal Hospital is asking the public to donate fish to help feed two juvenile bald eagles in their care.

The Chadwell Animal Hospital is currently caring for two injured juvenile bald eagles: a male named Ozzy and a female named Glenda.

Glenda was brought to the animal hospital on October 25th in poor condition but has since grown and developed quite an appetite. Ozzy was brought to the hospital on the 13th, the hospital said.

The hospital is low on fish and said "it would be great if anyone could snatch up some local fishes."

Whole rockfish, perch, sun fish, catfish and carp are best for the eagles, the hospital said. Frozen fish help the Animal Hospital to better manage portions, they said.

" We treat all wildlife via donations as a service for those who care enough to bring us injured or orphaned critters," the Animal Hospital told WUSA9.
