Prince George's County Animal Shelter - Offering a "No Cost" Adoption to Veterans Who Qualify for the Program Through Pets for Patriots

Last year we partnered with Pets for Patriots, an organization that delivers the healing power of pets to service and veteran members of the United States military through pet adoptions. Veterans who rescue a qualifying pet receive food from the pet food bank to ease the cost of food and essentials, ongoing discounted medical care from a veterinary partner, and sponsor-provided product discounts.

We are pleased to offer a NO-COST adoption to veterans who qualify for the program through Pets for Patriots. This is a win-win situation for those who have so bravely served our country and the animals at the shelter who are looking for a new, forever home.

Veterans with PTSD, individuals living alone, and men and women separating from service looking to ease the transition to civilian life are strongly encouraged to apply. We are extremely proud to partner with Pets for Patriots, and we look forward to many successful adoptions.
